I have to be honest, when Paper Pumpkin first started, I felt that the quality wasn't great.

Stampin' Up! has done a great job of bringing the quality of the kits up to the standard of their other great products!  The kits are worth every penny of the $19.95 price tag (which includes shipping and handling!)

 

This month's kit is beautiful!  I was amazed at all of the extra die cuts I had left at the end, too!  I plan to use these to create other beautiful fall cards. 

 

The kit comes with everything you need to make 8 cards (4 each of 2 different designs), plus coordinating colored envelopes! It includes glue dot adhesive for the die cuts, dimensionals, a stamp set, and a Night of Navy stampin' spot ink pad. In addition, you end up with many extra tags, die cuts, ribbon, and self-adhesive sequins that can be used to create some wonderful cards using your own card stock. It truly is a great value!

Even after the 8 beautiful cards are made, these pieces are left over! They could be used with your own cardstock to make more fall cards. You can also use them to create alternative looks for your cards in the kit!

Stampin' Up! 2018 Holiday Catalog - Falling for Leaves Bundle with Brusho

It is starting to look like fall here in Northern California. I love that we get an extra long fall season here!  We will have multi-colored leaves on our trees through the end of November or early December!  Since it is my very favorite season, I love this prolonged fall display. Coming from the Midwest, this is a real treat!  I am not a huge fan of winter, so the fact that we will roses in winter, and our spring flowers will start to bloom in early February, this is a heavenly place to live as far as weather is concerned! (Although rest assured, there are things I miss about the Midwest - my friends, less traffic, a lower concentration of people, a much shorter commute....there is definitely a price we pay for this amazing weather!) That being said, I intend to enjoy this fall weather and also the chance to use all of my fall stamp sets.

 

One of the beautiful new fall sets in the Holiday Catalog this year is the Falling for Leaves Stamp set. It also has matching framelits to allow for easy cut-out of images.

 

I used Brusho on watercolor paper to create the background on this card. I also used Brusho to color the center leaf. (I will be posting a Brusho tutorial video soon!) I cut the 2 accent leaves using one of the framelits from the Falling For Leaves Bundle. I love the detailed cut-outs that you get with this framelit!  I used the new copper glimmer paper from the Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper set for one leaf and the copper foil paper for the other. The card stock colors for the base of the card are Poppy Parade and Mango Melody.

Stampin' Up! New Catalog Sneak Peek! Rooted in Nature - again!

Okay, forgive me, but I have yet another sample that I made with the Rooted in Nature Bundle. Can I just say, " I LOVE THIS BUNDLE"!

I love it so much that I decided to offer a special for the month of June, 2018. For this sample, I used Soft Suede as the base of the card. The saying was stamped onto Crumb Cake using Soft Suede ink. The log was also stamped in soft suede. I added a layer of the Nature's Poem Designer series paper. I wanted a little more subtle look to the leaves, so after I stamped them in Old Olive and Mango Melody on Whisper White card stock, I used my sponge brayer over them with Soft Suede ink. I added just a touch of gold using the Gold Metallic Thread and the Gold Faceted Gems.
