I just returned from Stampin' Up!'s Incentive trip to Maui. What a glorious week! They flew my husband and me to Maui for 8 days at the Grand Wailea Resort. We spent time snorkeling, swimming, getting up at 2:00 am to take a trip to the top of a volcano to watch the sunrise, and much more. The resort was beautiful! Better than all of this was getting to spend time with my husband and also demonstrators that I know from all over the country.
I have added a few pictures to show the highlights of the trip. I am so grateful for the opportunity that Stampin' Up! gave me to earn this trip! It wasn't easy, but it was SO WORTH the effort!
We saw rainbows when we were landing - What a great start to the trip!
We arrived at our hotel at 9:45 am and our room was already available! Here are some views from our room.
Stampin' Up! had a brunch for us the first morning after everyone arrived. There was fun entertainment, and we got to connect with good friends!
This is me with my great friend, Julie Davison!
We had some awesome pillow gifts! They put something on our pillow each night, as well as having prizes to pick up in their "hospitality suite" each day.
These were snacks in our room when we arrived. It was great to have them for the week.
The morning after the welcome brunch, we got up at 2:00 am to ride a bus to the top of Haleakala (10,000 ft elevation) to see the sunrise. It was fun because we were with our friends. We FROZE, even with 3 coats, a hat, and gloves, but it was well worth it to see the sunrise over the crater!
Later in the week, we took a tour of the Road to Hana. We basically circled the entire south part of the island. This road has over 600 hairpin curves, and lots of one-lane bridges, so we thought it would be better to hire a guide to drive (it kept the marital harmony intact, and there was no backseat driving!)
There were tons of waterfalls along the road.
The beaches along the way were stunning!
At the end of the tour, we stopped at a beach that is known for its sea turtles. What fun to see so many of them basking on the sand!
The resort was gorgeous! We spent a lot of time walking along the paths that wind through the resort.
Sunsets were an event each evening. Many people would line up along the beach to see the beauty.
As our week came to an end, Stampin' Up! held a luau at sunset on the grounds of the resort.
The entertainment was impressive.
The end of the luau was marked by them lighting this sign. Mahalo means thank you in the Hawaiian language.
After the luau, we returned to our rooms to find this pendant that they gave us to help us remember our trip.
Mahalo for reading this long post. Given the chance, I will definitely be visiting this beautiful island again!!
