Here is a card I made using the Stitched Shapes Framelits (for the center oval) and the Christmas Pines Stamp set (which is on sale).

The background for the card was done using the Cable Knit Texture Folder. The paper used to create the red mats was from the Warmth and Cheer Designer Paper Series Stack. The holly leaf embellishment came from the Christmas Trinkets Embellishments. The base of the card was done with Garden Green Cardstock.

November 2016 Paper Pumpkin - what a fun winter wonderland!

Wow! The Paper Pumpkin Subscription Box this month is fabulous!!

I have totally fallen in love with these little winter scene cards!  I usually come up with alternative projects with my kits because I love to do the creating, but this set will be made entirely into these adorable little cards!! (Just for reference, they are about the size of a response card that you get in a wedding invitation).

The kit includes everything you need to create these mini 3-D cards. The blue envelopes are the size of a  small thank you note, so they will mail easily. I have included a picture of the card next to a coffee cup to give you a size reference.

Stitched Shapes and a Christmas Comforter

I am not generally a very "punny" person (pun intended), but this idea came to me and I decided to make this card in honor of my two favorite "punsters" - my friend, Ivan Gunn, and my husband, Tim. (Ivan, please apologize in advance to Connie for me!)

I wanted to make a card that looked like a quilt using our Stitched Shapes Framelits. 

I cut my quilt squares from the Presents and Pinecones Designer paper using the smallest square framelit in the set. I "tied off" each square using the Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine. I mounted my squares on the Fancy Frost Paper. The base was made using Mint Macaron card stock. I stamped a saying from the Christmas Pines Stamp Set (on sale this month for 25% off) in Emerald Envy ink, and tweaked it just a bit by using an "e" and an "r" from other sayings in the set. I colored those letters with my real red marker and added them to the end of the word comfort to create my pun. The entire saying was stamped onto a piece of the Presents and Pinecones Designer Series Paper, and then cut out using one of the ovals from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I matted this piece with an oval cut using the Layering Ovals Framelits and Fancy Frost Paper.

Stitched Shapes and Merry Mice!

I have fallen in love with the new Stitched Shapes Framelits! In the set, you get 4 sizes each of circles, squares and ovals, and they all give you a "stitched" edge. The coordinate with our other layering framelits, so you can easily create mats to go with these shapes.

One of those sets is Merry Mice. I used this stamp set and the Stitched Frames Framelits to create this fun card.

I stamped the mouse with our Basic Black Archival ink, and then water colored the image using my aqua painters and ink from the lid of my stamp pad. I cut the mouse out with one of the ovals from Stitched Shapes Framelits. I then matted the mouse image using our Layering Oval Framelits. (I used the largest scalloped edge framelit and then the largest straight edged oval.) The base of the card was made using Emerald Envy card stock. I texturized a layer of Real Red card stock using the Holly Textured Impressions Folder and layered it onto the base, and then added a strip of designer paper from the Presents and Pinecones Designer paper package. I cut a banner using the Banner Triple Punch, and inked just the word "merry" from one of the sayings in the Merry Mice Stamp Set using my Real Red Marker. For just a touch of added interest, I used the In Color Enamel Shapes, and the White Perfect Accents in the right bottom corner of the card.

Santa's Sleigh - Simple Christmas Card

I had a very busy weekend of craft fairs and holiday boutiques. I came home and spent some time cleaning up the terrible mess that I had made while creating in my stamping garage! I am happy to say that I can once again see my table top, and all of the boxes that I took with me over the weekend are unpacked and put away!

It was quite late when I finished cleaning last night, but I couldn't resist stopping for a moment to create a simple card in my fresh, clean stamping area!!

I decided to use the Santa's Sleigh Bundle.

 

I made this card by stamping the sleigh onto gold foil paper with versamark ink, and embossing with gold embossing powder. I then cut the sleigh out using the Santa's Sleigh Framelits. I stamped the wreath using garden green ink and cut it out with the framelits. I added a bow using Cherry Cobbler baker's twine. I used Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler cardstock as my card base.

I was happy with the simple, clean lines of the card. The gold foil paper with the gold embossing added a special touch to make the card just a bit more elegant.
