I pulled out several of my new "toys" to play with this morning. I wanted to use some Sale-a-Bration items as well as the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch from the Occasions Catalog. For some reason, as tag book popped into my head. We just had family pictures taken while all of the kids were home for Christmas, so I decided to do a brag book. This is what I came up with.
To made the "book", I started with a 12 x 9 inch piece of Pool Party Card Stock. Using the Simply Scored Tool, I scored every 2 inches, and then turned the paper and scored at the 3 inch mark to create the bottom "pocket". I cut along each 2 inch score mark just to where the pocket started. I was then able to insert each 2 inch wide segment into the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and make the top of the book look like tags. I cut 6 - 2 x 5 7/8 ths inch strips of the Sweet Sorbet paper (from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure), and punched each of these with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to create the tag inserts for the inside of the book.
I decorated the outside of the book using the Sweet Sorbet paper, the Outline Alphabet and Numbers Stamp set and the Petal Parade Stamp set (from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure). The strings I used on the tags and to close the book are from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack (from the Sale-a- Bration Brochure).
On each tag inside, I put a picture of each of my children, and then a list of attributes that I think of when I think of them. I stamped each of their names onto whisper white card stock using the ABC-123 Alphabet and Numbers set, and adhered these to the base of the pocket under their picture.
Now I actually have a book with pictures of my kids that is small enough to fit into my purse!
