I was so excited to see yet another way to use the petal cone die. One of my downline members shared this idea at our last meeting.
This pouch uses the petal cone die. Cut two pieces - I used the Everyday Enchantment paper (item # 126154) from the sale a bration brochure for the front of this and a piece of Real Red Cardstock for the back. ( You can get the Everyday Enchantment paper for FREE with a $50 purchase! )
To make the pouch, you simply adhere the tabs on the side of each piece to the other piece using sticky strip.
The rosette on the front was made using the new Designer Rosette Die (item # 125594) in the Occasions Mini Catalog. Did you know that this die can make any size rosette? Simply cut your paper to the width you would like - place it along one of the decorative edges and send through the big shot. It does all the scoring for you! This is a quick and easy way to make rosettes! If you make the paper wider, you may have to cut more than one and adhere them together to get a rosette. The one above was made 1.25 inches wide. The best way at attach these rosettes is to use a hot glue gun. The rosettes want to "spring" back into a tube shape, so you need something that will hold them firmly in place. The hot glue works the best of anything that I have tried.
