I flew into Las Vegas yesterday and met up with several friends. We drove to St. George last night and spent the night so that we were fresh and ready to start the day today. Here is a picture of us arriving last night. All of this luggage was for just four of us!! It looks like we are planning to stay for a month! (Actually, we brought suitcases big enough to bring home all of the goodies that Stampin' Up! Showers us with during the retreat!)
This morning, I started the day off with a great breakfast at the hotel, then went and checked in with Stampin' Up! The theme this year in the gathering place is a tea shop. SOOO cute, and the cupcakes were AMAZING!! So moist and yummy!
These were the cupcake selections for today - I hope this means we will get more of these delicious cupcakes in the days to come! I had the Raspberry Lemon one, and it was the BEST CUPCAKE I have ever eaten! They also have a different kind of flavored ice tea for us to try each day - today was orange passion. It was wonderful!
This was one of the sitting areas in the tea shop. There are tons of different candies that we can choose from, and the containers for the candies are cupcake cups! It always amazes me the details that they think about!
Here is a close-up of the pillows. They were made with our own Beau Chateau fabric!
When I checked into my room for the retreat, this is what greated me - LOVE these door signs. There is one on each of our doors. It feels like one big dorm! - What fun!
I was pleasantly surprised - my room has a little balcony where I can sit and look out over the city and the mountains in the background. Here is one of the busses arriving from the airport.
Everyone is being given their own room key. Their luggage is delivered directly to their room! Talk about service!
I spent some wonderful time in the pool with several friends. What an awesome day so far!! Tonight is our welcome dinner, so there will be much more to come!!
